My Streets Homeless Walking Tours Logo

My Streets Homeless Walking Tours CLG is seeking expressions of interest:

My Streets is a social enterprise offering accessible education and employment facilities to homeless individuals to become paid walking tour guides of ‘their’ streets. My Streets was established as a collaborative project between Drogheda Homeless Aid and Drogheda Civic Trust in 2014, was incorporated as a not for profit company in February 2017, has trained 28 homeless individuals to become walking tour guides to date and delivered tours to in excess of 9,500 customers. My Streets is a Social Entrepreneurs 2018 Awardee and is in the process of opening it’s education and employment programme to a variety of Dublin based Homeless organisations.

My Streets priorities over the coming year are to provide appropriate training to an additional 100 individuals experiencing homelessness and to create a socially, financially and ethically sustainable education and employment model unique in the Irish market. We are looking to attract new skilled volunteers to meet the demands of the growing social enterprise and expressions of interest are now being sought from persons with the following skills:

Coaching/Tutoring: Individuals with experience in the following fields; Tour Guiding/History Content, Storytelling, Performance, Confidence Training etc are required to deliver half day training sessions from our Dublin office.

Tech: We require an individual to update content across website and digital platforms, to optimise SEO and explore new digital opportunities.

Grant Writing: We require an individual to identify and apply for relevant funding opportunities.

Marketing: We require an individual to assist with marketing and selling My Streets unique tourism product.

Expressions of interest are also welcome from anyone who feels that they can add value to the organization, whatever their background.
