We are a primary alcohol service and liver health service in the Liberties area of Dublin. We provide services in a community- based area for those affected by alcohol misuse and abuse. We also provide information and medical referrals for those affected by Hepatitis C, and other liver problems. A family support service is also on offer for family members of our clients. Community Response has been operating since 1990, it began operating as an innovative primary alcohol service in 2013. It has also developed significant services, peer led, for people living with Hepatitis C, and acts as a prominent advocacy service for this group in conjunction with the Hepatitis C Partnership.

Mission- A local response to the difficulties faced by individuals, their families and the wider community, in relation to alcohol and poly-drug misuse. We also offer a range of services for those infected and affected by Hepatitis C. The team provides health information, education and support to encourage people to make positive changes for their health and wellbeing.
We offer a range of programmes to suit clients at varying stages of alcohol use, from active use to sobriety. We are one of the few services in the city to offer a structured service to active drinkers.

The project is entering an exciting time of new developments and launched a Strategic Plan for 2018 – 2021 in July 2018, we are seeking a suitably experienced general member (role specification attached) to assist in supporting the service through the lifespan of the plan. The projects provide programmes that are evidence based, engaging and focused on the client every step of the way.
