Applications are invited for the Position of Independent Chairperson of the South Inner City Drug & Alcohol Task Force
The chairperson is a key figure and the success of the Task Force will very much depend on the level of experience, commitment, skills and energy s/he can bring to the role. The chairperson’s role is to lead the Task Force and to facilitate its meetings. They should be independent of any funded projects, and preferably have no links with any of the task force partner agencies.
It is desirable that the successful candidate has:
- Experience of the role of Chairperson
- An interest and understanding of drugs misuse
- A strong background in business planning and Action Plan implementation
- A knowledge and experience of social inclusion issues
- Ability to bring together organisations and individuals from different sectors to work as a team
The position of Chairperson is a non-salaried post. Out of pocket expenses will be paid. Term of office is three years. A minimum of three to five days per month will be required for Chairperson duties.
