Edenmore Drug Intervention Team: Voluntary Board of Management

Edenmore Drug Intervention Team CLG Voluntary Board of Management Vacancies

The board of directors of St Monica’s Community Council C.L.G. (trading as EDIT) is seeking expressions of interest:

EDIT is a community drug and alcohol project that provides support for young people, adults and families who are at risk of, and who are affected by problem substance use and its associated issues. EDIT is currently made up of two limited companies and has delivered a range of services in Edenmore, Woodbine and Millbrook since 1997.

We are currently undergoing an organisational change process which has been initiated after a thorough and robust review by HSE Addiction Services. The review has been welcomed by the existing board members, and we are excited about the future development of the organisation.

Our key priorities for 2018 is to focus on offering the highest standards of service delivery to meet the changing needs of the community. In order to achieve this, we recognise that we need to produce a new three-year strategic plan 2018-2020, which will provide us with a road map to improved, sustainable outcomes and Better Safer Healthcare (HSE National Standards). Overall we aim to provide meaningful and appropriate services to those who need them, and we endeavour to help service users become independent of substances and services for improved quality of life.

Expressions of interest are now being sought from persons available to serve on the board as director and who:

  • Have professional qualifications and experience in the HR, Legal and Finance fields
  • Would like to play their part in the planning, development and overseeing the implementation of a new Strategic Plan

The board is also recruiting for the following officer roles:

  • Treasurer
  • Company secretary
  • Vice-chairperson

Please see attached role descriptions along and contact details for expressions of interest.
