Cultúr is a community work organisation working across County Meath with ethnic minorities including immigrants, migrant workers, asylum seekers and refugees. We are passionate and committed to equality, human rights and social justice and currently seeking a volunteer Job Coach Classroom Assistant to support the job coach under the Jobs for you Migrants Progressing (JUMP) programme.
Role Purpose
This role requires a strong charismatic person with up-to-date HR, employability skills and communication skills, who is seeking to develop their experience in the charitable sector. Experience of working with jobseekers from communities of interest/minority groups an advantage. An understanding of current challenges facing migrants living in Ireland in terms of employment opportunities would also be advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist Job Coach with organising materials and setting up for group sessions.
- Assist Job Coach in facilitating group work exercises.
- Assist individual's to identify skills and talents in order to facilitate a job/career of choice.
- Assist individuals in setting career goals and career development planning, CV Preparation and Interview skills
- Assist Job Coach through One to One sessions with individual participants.
The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager and play an integral role in planning, running and reporting on the (JUMP) programme.
This is an unpaid volunteer position of 17.5 hours per week commitment.
