This specialist qualification aims to give educators and other professionals the knowledge and skills to enhance the education of their students with special and additional learning needs.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have an undergraduate honours degree (minimum 2:2 classification or equivalent) in any discipline.
  • In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, a proficiency in the English language must be shown through the IELTS exam. Applicants must get a minimum overall score of 7.0 (or equivalent).

Course structure

  • This course is 100% online meaning that students can access the content at any time that suits them.
  • Students are assessed by a 5,000-word assignment after each module and a 14,000-word dissertation at the end of the programme.
  • Participants enrol on the program for the start of the September or January term and will normally complete one 30 credit module per term. There are three terms every year, beginning in September, January, and May.

Students have the option to choose to exit the Masters programme with a PG Cert qualification (2 modules completed) or a PG Diploma qualification (4 modules completed).
