What is ISM SafeDrive?
It is an online empowerment tool, specifically designed for 16 - 24 year olds within organisations who engage or work with young people either in an educational, training or volunteer setting. ISM SafeDrive enables young people to understand their own authority, makes young people aware of their on road responsibilities and be respectful of the law. It consists of eight modules of independent, interactive learning over six hours with quizzes and certification.
What is the benefit for an organisation who works with young people?
ISM developed this online empowerment learning tool that can contribute towards achieving the outcomes and aims of the governmental national policy framework for children and young people at an individual level. The policy priorities include the outcome of young people being connected, respected and contributing to their world. ISM SafeDrive provides an opportunity for ongoing education and training and makes young people aware of their responsibilities and be respectful of the law when they are road users.
How does ISM SafeDrive work?
We recommend that the ISM SafeDrive modules, taken either privately or in a group environment is spaced out in order to facilitate a young person's learning regarding their own behaviour and attitude. We also recommend that you discuss and engage with the young person about their thoughts of the content raised during the modules. The online tool issues a SafeDrive certificate after successful completion.
