Expressive Arts Ireland: Workshops

Expressive Arts Ireland presents two upcoming weekend workshops. The workshops are both introductions to Expressive Arts Therapy, each with an emphasis on a unique therapeutic modality, while engaging with multiple art forms. First workshop, taking place on the last weekend of June: Integrating the Arts of Storytelling With Expressive Arts Therapy Second workshop, taking place on the last weekend of September: Integrating Arts and Nature With Expressive Arts Therapy.
Participants are welcome to attend one or both of the weekends.

Expressive Arts Workshops are designed to help people grow both professionally and personally. You can develop and expand your working skills to include the principles and practice of Expressive arts. The workshops that we offer will support professionals to engage with the principles and practice drawn from core literature in the field of Intermodal Expressive Arts, as used in therapy, coaching, education and social change.

Expressive Arts Therapy is founded on the premise that everyone is capable of making meaningful art and that the process and/or product is always helpful to the client.

Therefore, we embody a low skill, high sensitivity approach. We are not technique oriented, but rather gear all our groups and sessions so that any person, regardless of their artistic talent or previous experience, can enter into the process.
We guide the client into their senses and their sensitivity to create work. We look together observantly at what has been created without critique or judgment. There can often be educational or instructional components to the art making that are naturally imbedded within the session.

The therapeutic impact of Expressive Arts Therapy is working through the various arts such as: Visual art, Drama, Storytelling, Music, Voice, Movement, Clay, Nature and more...

There is no need of previous experience in art making.

Expressive Arts workshops are open for self development and professional developmet for professions such as, social workers, therapists, teachers, artists, students, youth workers and all those that have a wish to engage with the process of Expressive Arts Therapy.

Participants will receive in the end of the course a Certificate of Attendance.
