28 March 2019 - Implementing the High / Scope Approach, Dublin 9 (12 week course ending 13 December 2019)

The course is designed for those working with young children from 3-6 years of age who wish to begin to use the HighScope approach in their setting.

The course provides participants with:

  • the opportunity to explore the areas of the HighScope Curriculum for preschool children
  • the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the theory, principles and practice which underpin the HighScope Curriculum
  • an active learning experience and a mixture of individual small group, large group activities and discussions.

The course will be held over 12 days from March-December to enable participants to gradually introduce the curriculum in their setting. Assignments will be set at the end of each day. At the end of the course, the trainer will carry out a site visit to each setting. On successful completion of all of these course requirements participants will receive a HighScope Ireland Certificate of Implementation.

Training dates: 28th & 29th March, 26th April, 24th May, 21st June, 19th July, 16th August, 30th August tbc, 20th September tbc, 18th October, 15th November, 13th December 2019

Training times: 9.30-3pm

Training Venue: Axis, Main Street, Ballymun, Dublin 9

The €1600 fee includes the 12 days training, site visit, registration and certification from HighScope Ireland Institute, site visit, materials and resources, venue and refreshments (lunch not included).
