Age & Opportunity is the national organisation that provides a range of opportunities for older people who want to get more involved in arts and culture, sport and physical activity, education & personal development.
Our aim is to inspire people aged 50+ to live a dynamic and fulfilling life where they are more active, more engaged, more creative and more stimulated.
Age & Opportunity’s Creative Exchanges course offers high-quality training that leads to a QQI Level 6 Component Award (6N3585). Participants will develop the skills needed to plan and facilitate arts activities for older people in residential and day care settings.
In line with the person-centred approach promoted by HIQA National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People (2016), this course is designed to help you to provide meaningful and purposeful opportunities to engage older people in arts activities.
