The Cork Association for Autism provides support services to over 300 adults affected with autism in the Cork and Kerry region. We have service centres in Carrigtwohill, Mogeely, Rafeen, Douglas, Model Farm Road. Supports provided by our charity include Residential & Respite Care, Day Service Facilities, Home Supports and an Asperger Syndrome Support Service. Funds raised from the 2018 Christmas Campaign will contribute towards funding our vehicle costs which transport service users from their homes to our provided service centres and out on community integration activities and daytrips. The transport facility is a fundamental element as it aids in achieving community integration and improving service user socialisation skills and promotes independence.
Our main Christmas event is our Carols by Candlelight Concert fundraiser will take place on the 7th of December in St. Patrick’s Church, Lower Glanmire Road in Cork City.
This event is one of our main fundraising events of the year. Various choirs around the city and county perform on the night along with some of our service users who have been practising for some time now.
On the night we hold a ‘Grand Raffle’ which boosts the amount raised on the night and helps offset the costs involved.
To this end we are reaching out to our suppliers to see if they can come on board to help with spot prizes for the event. Alternatively you may wish to make a sponsorship contribution towards the running of the event.
