To mark 30 years of supporting people living with HIV, AIDS West are to host a HIV & Ageing Conference
On: Friday 1 December 2017
At: The Ardilaun Hotel, Galway City
This conference is appropriate for people living with HIV, GPs, Nurses and all frontline healthcare staff and sexual health staff who work with and support people living with HIV. In addition: researchers, community organisations, drug services, counselling services, policy makers and commissioners, community leaders, community advocates and others with strong professional interest in HIV & Ageing are welcome to attend.
The Conference will have a panel of Irish & International speakers including: Dr Andrea Holmes (Consultant Genitourinary Medicine & Infectious Disease, Bon Secours, Galway), Liz Martin (Author of 'Still Standing’), Dr Diarmuid O’Donovan (Senior Lecturer in Social & Preventive Medicine, Director of Public Health, HSE West), Chris O’Connor (Freelance Journalist), Dr Helen Tuite (UCH Galway, HIV & Infectious Disease Clinic) & Shaun Watson (Community based HIV clinical nurse specialist (HIV Community Westminster).
