Fundraising Coordinator Volunteer
Department: Fundraising Department
Reports to: Fundraising Manager/Volunteer Coordinator
CARI is a registered charity founded in 1989. Our primary aim is to provide a professional child centred therapy and counselling service to children, families and groups who have been affected by child sexual abuse. We operate on a non-for-profit basis ensuring that our services are accessible, regardless of a client’s means or situation.
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The volunteer Fundraising Coordinator plays a huge role is supporting the day-to-day fundraising activities of CARI. The role entails collecting donations, coordinating fundraising packs and assisting at fundraising events. Your role as a CARI Fundraising Volunteer will assist us to raise funds and continue to provide therapy and support to children and families affected by child sexual abuse.
The fundraising manager and/or volunteer coordinator will contact each fundraising volunteer in advance to provide all the information and will provide any training required. Experience or knowledge working in the charity sector in a similar role is an advantage but not essential as we provide full training. Good communication skills, honesty, dependability and reliability are required along with an enthusiastic, warm, confident and friendly manner.
There is enormous satisfaction to be gained from devoting your free time and energy helping to raise vital funds to make a difference to children and their families who so desperately need therapy and support. You will also meet like-minded people and gain valuable experience developing your fundraising skills.
Time commitment is flexible and to be decided with the volunteer.
