Irish Cancer Society: Volunteer Advocacy Champion
Role: Volunteer Advocacy Champion
The Irish Cancer Society are looking for volunteer Advocacy Champions to join our team. As an Advocacy Champion you will be a voice for cancer patients and survivors all over Ireland. Advocacy Champions work closely with our Advocacy Team to ensure that the needs of cancer patients and survivors and their loved ones are heard at all levels of Government.
Advocacy Champions commit to activities including:
- Writing to politicians and government departments
- Meeting with or calling your local politician
- Sharing our campaigns on social media or through your local media
- Participating in advocacy events (1 – 2 per year)
Advocacy Champions are asked to devote 10 hours per month to campaigning work, as well as to attend 1 or 2 advocacy or training events per year.
