Who are we
A.S.S.C. (Accompaniment Support Service for Children) was set up in 2020 to address the needs of young people as they negotiate their way through the criminal justice system. Our service provides accompaniment and advocacy for young people and their families at different stages through the justice system.
Our Vision and Mission
The vision and mission of A.S.S.C is to provide all young people and families with accompaniment and support during their time within the criminal justice system. A.S.S.C provides advocacy and a voice for the rights and experiences of young people and their families through the criminal justice system.
A.S.S.C are currently recruiting for the following voluntary Board of Management positions.
BoM Financial Trustee
A.S.S.C are seeking an individual with proven knowledge in financial management or accountancy. This trustee must be a qualified Accountant, ACA or CIMA qualified, ideally with at least 5 years’ senior management experience. Their role is to have a deep insight into all Financial policies and controls and propose any recommendations for change. To have oversight of compliance and risk management in the organisation.
BoM Business and Strategic Trustee
We are seeking a Charity trustee with a background in business leadership and strategy. The trustee must have a relevant third level qualification in business, management or related field. Responsibilities of the Business and Strategic trustee include inputting to the strategic direction of A.S.S.C. To act as part of the mentoring team to senior management. To assist with the creation and implementation of strategic plans which will comply with current legislation and practice.
