Volunteer at our After School’s Club
Our After Schools will resume in September 2021. We are following government childcare advice adhering to restrictions. You will be asked to practise social distancing with other adults and wear face coverings at specified times.
This is your chance to be part of something bigger working towards providing equal opportunities for young people in Ireland today. For this community that looks like providing a consistent, home away from home, safe place for children to come to every day after school.
The children aged 5 - 12 come from challenging backgrounds. 'The Club' is a place for them to grow and flourish. A place where they can discover their strengths. A place where they can dream about their future and know that they are loved.
As a volunteer, you'll be inspired in the process of getting to know each of the individual children seeing the impact that a consistent secure environment can have on their, sometimes, turbulent lives.
What’s involved in volunteering?
What will I gain?
This is a perfect opportunity to gain experience for youth work, social work, teaching, psychology, community development or childcare. Many of our volunteers are studying, have flexible working hours or simply volunteer because they want to give back, and they enjoy it! It is a rewarding experience.
We ask that you commit one afternoon a week for the minimum of 8 months (or two school terms).
