The Switchboard require volunteers
We are recruiting for new volunteers for The Switchboard. We offer listening, support and information to all areas of the LGBTQIA+ community and to their families, friends and allies. We are a confidential, non-judgmental helpline open 7 days a week.
If you are interested in learning about all aspects of the community and how to give support through listening and signposting, we are now receiving applications. Much of the training will be done online and we now have the ability to have our volunteers work from home, so for the first time in our 47 year history we are opening to volunteers who live anywhere in the country. Some of the training will be held at our office in Dublin and from time to time events take place in Dublin so being able to travel to Dublin occasionally is important.
Applicants ideally should have some lived experience as a LGBTQIA+ person, be over 18 years age and be interested in learning about other communities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
If you are interested please write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with a cover letter detailing and relevant experience you have and what you feel you could bring to The Switchboard.
