Role Title: Full-time Volunteer – Carman’s Hall Emergency Accommodation
Role Purpose: To volunteer directly with service users as part of a team to ensure the provision of accommodation services and physical environment within the Simon Community. Assist and support the service team to facilitate and implement service user progression and participation initiatives to improve experience of service users.
Reports to: Service Manager – Carmans Hall

We have an extensive Full-time volunteering programme here in the Dublin Simon Community. The programme consists of an in-depth induction, onsite training, which has an emphasis on reflective practice, social care and both formal and informal learning - this is the first of its kind. We recruit for Full Time Volunteers throughout the year. Many people use the opportunity of Full-Time volunteering to gain essential practical experience in social care and addiction studies, to develop a career in this area. Others choose Full-Time Volunteering to grow as individuals, to take time out from study/employment or to finally make that career change.
There is a weekly allowance (€125.00 per week) for all full-time volunteers. In return Full-Time Volunteers give 37.5 hours per week in our frontline services .Please find attached the role description.
