Foróige Futures Project Longford: Volunteer Leaders
The Foróige Futures Project Longford
The Foróige Futures Project are currently recruiting adult volunteers to join their new and existing Foróige youth clubs throughout Co. Longford. Foroige Futures endeavours to support particular communities in Co. Longford where youth activities and clubs do not exist. The project sets out to support the development of volunteer-led youth clubs in response to the needs of young people and their communities.
As a leader in the club you will have the joy of positively influencing young people’s lives, drawing out their potential, and acting as an example that they can follow. You will be part of achieving Foróige’s youth development purpose and share its respect for the dignity and value of each young person. You will benefit from getting to know young people, other leaders and them you, develop leadership and facilitation skills and know that your participation is making a positive difference for young people. Most clubs meet for about an hour, once a week in the local community for all young people aged 10-17.
Applicants must be 18 years and over and there are no particular educational requirements. All adult leaders are required to complete a Garda Vetting Process and training for this role will be provided. If you are interested in becoming an adult leader contact Club Development Officer Cyril on 086 014 4832 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or Volunteer Coordinator Frances on 086 014 4828 or email frances.sweeney@foróige.ie.
