Volunteer with Third Age and make a difference in older people’s lives

Third Age is a non-profit organization committed to providing services throughout Ireland which help to alleviate social isolation primarily among older people, and which reach people of every generation. We provide choices for older people and offer opportunities for lifelong learning, volunteering, community development, social inclusion and strive to break down barriers, promote equality and challenge attitudes and perceptions.

We are currently seeking volunteers to join our dedicated AgeWell Companion team.  AgeWell is a peer-to-peer care model which includes a befriending service and is being run in partnership with the HSE promoting the health and wellbeing of older people. As an AgeWell Companion  you will visit older people at home, providing contact, company and acting as a link to the local health care system and local community services. AgeWell Companions, you will be supported by the in-house AgeWell team with regular training, and weekly meetings
