YMCA Dublin: Volunteers Needed
Background Information
YMCA Dublin is a community-based charity, providing services for children, young people and families since 1849. Our social enterprise model ensures all surplus generated goes directly into funding our extensive services, such as youth & community work, mentoring and childcare
Volunteer Role Description:
YMCA Dublin is seeking volunteers who are eager to make a real impact in their communities and make a difference in the lives of at-risk or vulnerable youths.
Join YMCA Dublin as a PlusOne Mentor and you can help to provide young people with the positive role models and safe, engaging, supportive spaces that they need to reach their full potential.
We are looking for
- Enthusiastic and compassionate individuals aged 21+
- Willingness to commit to a minimum 1 year as a mentor
- Availability for regular, weekly meetings and activities with your mentee
We invite applications from all, however, due to outstanding needs amongst our current cohort of young people, we are particularly encouraging applications from male volunteers, at present.
No experience is required as full specialist training will be provided and you will work closely alongside the PlusOne team.
