Certificate in Eco-Arts Practice (Level 9)

This Special Purpose Award has been designed for teachers, therapists, youth and community workers or artists looking to integrate nature and the environment into their arts-based practice. The course will provide participants with approaches to Eco Art Practice applicable to a range of contexts, from ethical use of materials, to eco literacy through to the natural environment as a classroom, a therapeutic space and a material that can be worked with.

Programme Dates: The course will run part-time, in 2 day blocks over the academic year.

Certificate in Arts in Group Facilitation (Level 8)

This programme focuses on the practical skills of planning and running creative workshops with groups in a range of non-formal contexts. Participants learn these skills through experiential learning processes, taking part in visual arts, drama, dance and music workshops and reflecting on the experience. The course will provide skills face to face in working in physical workshops, classes, centres as well as facilitation creative engagement online

Programme Dates: Blended online and face to face learning in blocks throughout the academic year.

Certificate in Socially Engaged Theatre (Level 8)

This Special Purpose Award aims to introduce participants to the basic principles of socially engaged theatre and develop a range of skills in implementing applied theatre practises into a variety of learning environments. Learn to use these theatre practices in both formal and non-formal contexts as a socially engaged learning methodology and a means for positive change.

Programme Dates: The course will run part-time, in 2 day blocks over the academic year.

MA in Arts and Education

This Masters programme aims to extend the artist’s practice, grounding it in a social context. It centres on learning from expressive meaning-making, through group & practical engagement and experiential & reflective practices. The programme is centred on arts-based facilitation training, creativity and change-making and art therapy. Participants on the Masters will develop an understanding of the role of the arts within learning and engagement and will develop the skills to apply this to a range of contexts.

Programme Dates: The course will run part-time, one day a week, with electives in 2 day blocks every month of this two-year programme.
