Maynooth University: MA in International Peacebuilding, Security and Development Practice
MA in International Peacebuilding, Security and Development Practice – Join us at the Department of International Development, Maynooth University, on our MA programme, which starts in September 2021 (full- or part-time).
Through this programme, we explore the links between peacebuilding, security and development and reflect on how these relate to the realities of migration, gender and human rights. Participants integrate negotiation skills with an analysis of wider conflict and development issues, as well as gaining critical insight into the spectrum of international conflict intervention. This includes theory, strategies and practices, which range from addressing resource conflict in the wake of Climate Change, to the role of governments, business and civil society in participatory peace processes.
The International Peacebuilding, Security and Development Practice MA offers a flexible, online learning, experience. Participants can study fully online or through a blend of online and on-campus modules. The part-time MA option allows participants to engage with and complete the programme over two to four years, entirely online.
