NUI Maynooth Higher Certificate in Addiction Studies (Level 7)

The Dublin North East Drugs and Alcohol Task Force are pleased to confirm we will run the Level 7 Addiction Studies in October 2020 in conjunction with Maynooth University. This is a University Level 7 course leading to a Level 8 Diploma in Addiction Studies. Subjects covered will include;
- Theoretical Perspectives on Addiction
- Drug and Alcohol Misuse in Contemporary Ireland
- Approaches to Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation
- Group Work & Reflective Learning
The venue for the 2020/2021 course will be Le Chéile, Donnycarney Community Centre
Le Chéile, Donnycarney are fully adhering to the public safety guidelines and a 2 metre distance will be kept between participants.
The course will comprise of 2 hours classroom time and 1 hour on-line per week over the academic year from October to May. The course is 100 hours in total.
Course dates: Start October 19th, 2020. 10am - 12noon (classroom time), On-line TBA.

Criteria: Applicants MUST be living or working in the Dublin North East Task Force catchment area.
The cost per student is €300.00. This course is heavily subsidised by the Dublin North East Drugs & Alcohol Task Force.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on 30th September 2020. No late applications will be accepted.
