New Online courses

Using Excel to track current and actual spending
The new ‘Using Excel to track current and actual spending’ online course would be suitable for anyone with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel who is looking to enhance their skills (basic Excel knowledge of formulas, sorting and filtering, navigating worksheets will be assumed). Cost is €140. The course will take place over 5 sessions (90 minutes per session) via Zoom starting from 27th May at 11am.

Using Social Media to promote your work during a crisis (For Beginners) - Online Course
This course will include an introduction to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as tips and advice on how to use each platform to communicate different messages to various audiences. This online course is aimed at people with little experience of using social media in a professional setting. It will delivered virtually via GoToWebinar/GoToMeeting on 2nd June at 10.30am to 11.30am. Cost is €35.

This course will enable participants to develop a good understanding of Risk Management within an organisation and the tools which can be employed to minimise risk. In addition to attending the course, participants will have access to our e-learning module on the same subject and will be able to download course material. It will delivered virtually via GoToWebinar/GoToMeeting on 16th June at 10.30am to 11.30am. Cost is €35.

A Board/Trustee Governance Handbook Template has been developed by Carmichael as part of our ongoing efforts to support non-profit organisations. In developing this free handbook, Carmichael sought to reflect the principles and standards of the Charities Governance Code but it can be used by any non-profit organisation. This handbook is a template and it should be amended/tailored to reflect your own charity or other non-profit.

Event Management Basics is designed for staff and volunteers who have little-to-no experience in running events and want to learn about what goes in to making a successful event – whether it’s a corporate conference or a community exhibition.

Workplace Boundaries Training
(09.45am to 1.00pm – Wed, 9th Sep 2020)
This half-day course is designed for front-line staff who interact with vulnerable adults or children on a daily basis. The course will increase the awareness of its participants. It outlines the expectations of a staff member working with vulnerable adults and helps each participant understand where their boundaries stand and where their weak points might be.

Developing a Business Plan
