SERVE'd Up Cookbook (fundraiser)
Feed your wanderlust and travel safely with the SERVE’d Up Cookbook!
In March 2020, Cork-based organisation SERVE made the difficult decision to postpone all overseas volunteer and immersion programmes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The SERVE team began to work from home, and what was expected to be an exciting year became a quiet one.
Nevertheless, the crisis gave SERVE the opportunity to focus on a special project that had been in the works for a while. Months passed as the SERVE team and volunteers worked from all across Ireland, safe in their homes, cooking, trying (and re-trying!) recipes, photographing the dishes, and ultimately creating the SERVE'd Up cookbook.
SERVE’d Up is more than just a cookbook: it’s a journey of resilience during a global pandemic.
Explore the world through your kitchen through the colourful collection of authentic recipes sourced from SERVE’s partner communities around the world. On a cold winter's night, invite the sunny Philippines into your home with a vibrant, fresh and fruity Mango Float – a keen favourite of SERVE volunteers over the years. Let the mouth-watering Mozambican Chicken rival that of your local chicken piri-piri restaurant.
SERVE would like to invite you to join them on a journey across the world to learn about their work, meet their partners, and taste the flavours stretching from Brazil to the Philippines! The SERVE’d Up Cookbook is a perfect, ethical and educational present this Christmas! What will you SERVE up?
