Down Syndrome Ireland: 21 Day Challenge
Right now we’re all in lockdown but we are still allowed to exercise up to 5km from our homes. Why not join Irish rugby star and Down Syndrome Ireland Ambassador Conor Murray and get active for DSI by taking on our 21 Day Challenge and help raise money to support our work.
“The 21 day challenge encourages people to get up and get active during what is a uniquely stressful time for everyone,” Conor says of the 21 day challenge.
By taking part, you will be helping to raise money which will allow DSI to continue providing essential services, programmes and supports to children and adults with Down syndrome right across the country.
Conor added: “Completing 100 kms in just 21 days is no easy challenge but with the flexibility of being able to mix it up and do part swimming, part running or maybe part walking, it’s a challenge that’s achievable. Whether people take part in their homes, in their local park or on the streets, they can decide the place and they decide the pace. I’m appealing to people to get involved. It’s a great way to get active with family, friends or colleagues, have some fun and help raise money to support DSI.”

About our 21 Day Challenge
We have launched our 21 Day Challenge fitness initiative asking people to walk, run, cycle or swim 100 km in 21 days.
Now that we’re in lockdown, we’re encouraging people to be creative and challenge themselves to any daily activity for 21 consecutive days – something that suits you and helps you stay active. Whether it’s a daily walk, run or wheelchair in your local park; squats or sit-ups in your back garden; star jumps or Zumba in your living room – you decide the place and you decide the pace.
So get creative, stay active and stay safe!
How it works
