To all mental health service users, carers and family members in the Midlands / Louth / Meath

You are invited to participate in a learning programme to support the work of local committees (Mental Health Forums) in the CHO8 area. The forums work to develop and improve mental health services through a partnership arrangement between HSE services, people who have experience of mental health challenges, carers and family members.

Note: a list of counties the CHO8 area covers can be found, number 1 below.

If you meet the criteria from the list below you are invited to participate.

  1. You live in the CHO8 area (covering counties, Laois, Offaly, Longford, Westmeath, Louth and Meath)
  2. That you have experience of using mental health services in the CHO8 area
    and/or
  3. That you are a carer/family member of someone using mental health services in the CHO8 area
  4. That you are interested in becoming active in shaping mental health services in your local area through committee work/local Forums

The target group of this training is not staff working in mental health settings.

It is free to participate in the Learning programme.

The programme covers personal development, co-production, policy, communication, and teamwork.

Introductory Session : Wednesday, 12th January 2022, 10.30am.

Five sessions will be delivered thereafter, every Wednesday, 10.30am – 1pm. Beginning 19th January, ending, Wednesday 16th February. This will be delivered online via zoom video call.
