Dublin Human Rights and Arts Festival: Where are women organising?

NWC is inviting you to join us online for an event we are organising as part of the upcoming Dublin Human Rights and Arts Festival. “Where are women organising?”

This will take place online on October 15th, 7 - 8.30pm (Irish Standard Time).

Women have always been at the forefront of organising, campaigning and agitating for change across many crucial issues. Their style, determination and flexibility has often been overlooked. This online discussion will capture how and where women are leading in the current struggles for housing, workers’ rights, anti-racism and reproductive rights on the island and globally.

We are delighted to be joined by the following speakers:

  • Vivienne Glanville, Women’s Collective Ireland
  • Amy Moran, East Wall Here For All
  • Louise O’Hara, Forsá
  • Maria Elena Costa Sa, Irish Network Against Racism
  • Aoife McCrory, Mothers Against Genocide
  • Marta Lampart, Polish Women’s Strike

The event will be chaired by Rachel Coyle, Head of Campaigns and Mobilisations

This event is part of 6th annual Dublin Arts & Human Rights Festival Programme: In Solidarity: An International Celebration of Arts and Human Rights.

The festival features exciting and innovative events that promote equality, human rights and diversity through the arts, taking place in a variety of locations in person and online. The aim of the festival is to showcase and highlight the extraordinary work of human rights defenders in Ireland and around the world, past and present, and the role of the arts and artists in promoting human rights today.
