Addiction Therapist Required - Full Time position

Salary: €45k per annum

As part of our continued expansion of our service we are seeking counsellors and psychotherapists to join our therapy team at Smarmore Castle Private Clinic which treats people with drug and alcohol addiction.

Smarmore Castle is a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic that treats alcoholism, drug and gambling addiction. Our aim is to help patients achieve abstinence through an intensive, personalised programme that follows the 12 Steps, provides detox and medical treatment, psychotherapy and complementary therapies.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Addiction Therapist to join our therapy team at Smarmore Castle. A degree (Min. level 8) in counselling, psychotherapy or psychology is required, as is training or experience of 12 step facilitation or CBT.

Ideally, successful candidates will have training and experience in a speciality such as trauma focused therapy, eating disorder etc. Successful candidates are required to be accredited by the ACI or IACP (or equivalent), consideration will be given to candidates working towards accreditation.

Duties and responsibilities will normally include individual, group and family therapy for patients with alcohol and drug dependence. Successful candidates will also be expected to act as case managers for up to 6 patients – working to co-ordinate all aspects of care for each patient, including developing individualised treatment plans and follow-up with referral sources.
