L’Arche started in Trosly, France as response to the segregation and institutional care of people who had an Intellectual disability at that time. There are now 154 communities in 38 countries around the World in the International Federation of L’Arche communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of assistants to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents.
  • Uphold the values and ethos of L’Arche in all interactions and decision-making processes.
  • Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and community integration.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in social care, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in team leadership and excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Familiarity with HIQA requirements and national standards for residential services.
  • Commitment to promoting community integration and active citizenship for people with disabilities.
  • Valid clean driving licence.
