(P/T 21hrs per week)

In Sync Youth & Family Services is a dynamic voluntary organisation dedicated to working with children, young people and their families in their local communities. We are committed to their personal and social development within their communities and the provision of quality youth & family services through an integrated multi-disciplinary approach.

In Sync Youth and Family Service is seeking applications for the position of Integration Youth Worker. The post is funded by the Department of Children, Disability, Integration and Youth and is administered through Kildare Wicklow Education Training Board.

The Integration Youth Worker will work with Ukrainian young people in the accommodation centres in Kildare and West Wicklow. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver activities through a youth work approach that will meet the needs of Ukrainian young people aged 10 – 24.

The successful candidate must have:

  • a level 7 qualification or higher in Youth Work, Community Work, Social Studies or Social Care.
  • a min. 2 years’ experience working in a youth work setting with young people in a paid capacity.
  • experience of developing positive working relationships with young people and their families.
  • experience of working on an inter-agency basis with a range of partners.
  • a good working knowledge of the youth work practice and the youth work sector in Ireland
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong recording, writing, reporting and evaluation skills.
  • a willingness to work unsocial hours and a time off in lieu system.
  • a full clean driving license and own transport.
  • An ability to communicate in Ukrainian would be desirable, but not essential.

In Sync Youth & Family Services, will employ the successful candidate on an initial 7 month contract.
