Unique online Irish Local Community Hub launched – mylocaltown.ie
A new community portal has been launched that provides an interactive community website for every village, town and community in Ireland. As well as local listings, there’s the ability for users such as for local groups and organisations such as sports clubs, charities, churches, schools, libraries and special interest groups to add their own content and information – news, events and announcements etc.
Further functionality allows enhanced listings for businesses, retailers, leisure facilities, services providers – in fact anyone who wants to communicate to a local audience.
Tourists can also use mylocaltown.ie to find accommodation, facilities, features, entertainment and attractions in the area.
Businesses can also gain online exposure with mylocaltown.ie through free business listings and can further promote themselves through an ad-serving system. While most local businesses are already listed, users of mylocaltown.ie have the ability to add new businesses and services to their town’s unique website. There’s also the feature to create their own mini website for a small annual fee. This is an ideal solution for businesses that do not already have a website and want to gain an inexpensive web presence. Mylocaltown.ie also offers these minisites for free to local clubs, societies, schools and non-profit organizations, giving them an opportunity to communicate locally and promote their events. There are local and national interactive chat forums for community discussions, rants and praises, as well as picture galleries and free classified ads.
