Galway County Traveller Interagency Group: Two Positions Available
Galway County Traveller Interagency Group invites applications for the positions of:
- Traveller Enterprise Development Worker
- Traveller Employment Development Worker
Galway County Traveller Interagency Group is a group of agencies that seek to improve the delivery of services and supports to the Traveller Community in County Galway. It is a sub group of the Galway County Development Board. We recently have been approved funding from FÁS to employ 2 Development Workers to assist job ready Travellers gain employment or self employment.
Traveller Enterprise Development Worker (fixed term specific purpose 12 month full time contract). This position is to identify and foster Enterprise opportunities for Travellers in County Galway, increase Travellers access to Business and Enterprise supports and skills, increase Travellers employment within Enterprise initiatives, develop business plans with individual Travellers and organisations, promote Traveller economy and entrepreneurship and work to achieve targets of the Traveller Interagency Group in this area.
Traveller Employment Development Worker (fixed term specific purpose 12 month full time contract). This position is to increase access and opportunities within employment for Travellers in County Galway, source and develop strong links with employers and employer networks to enable Travellers access employment, establish diversity policies, support and mentor Travellers that gain employment and work experience and work to achieve targets of the Traveller Interagency Group in this area.
