Henrietta Adult and Community Education Service: Information / Communications Worker - Part Time

The role of the Information Worker is to gather and maintain information on the HACE Service and its participants, carry out communication with participants and other stakeholders in the community.  Analyse and produce evaluation reports and service reports and assist the Co-ordinator in implementing its FETAC Quality Assurance procedures.

Key Tasks:

  • Put together Information on services and programmes in HACE to the Local Community.
  • Collect and collate information from Registration Forms. Input onto database.
  • Maintain records on attendance and participation in classes and produce end of term reports
  • Gather and maintain information on participant profiles and produce end of term reports
  • Gather and maintain information on HACE Courses and tutors
  • Gather Feedback Sheets from Students and Tutors and produce reports
  • Assist Co-ordinator in producing Self Evaluation Reports
  • Assist Co-ordinator in producing Programme Improvement Plans
  • Carry out general correspondence with adult learners in the community regarding their classes.
  • Maintain Certification Records for learners
  • Assist in Internal Verification for FETAC Assessment
  • Notify Learners of Results of Exams.
  • Send out FETAC Certificates and appeals procedures to students
  • Organise collection of FETAC assessment work with students
  • Gather and distribute information on community education programmes and progression opportunities for adults
  • Assist with FETAC and other general administration duties such as petty cash, invoicing, Registration and Certificate night preparations

Skills Specification
Excellent Communication Skills, Organisational skills, Excellent Computer skills including Microsoft Access, publisher and Excel and use of Internet. Good Knowledge of the Irish education system and FETAC. Excellent understanding of Community Education and Educational Disadvantage.

Salary Details
€19,539 per annum
20 Hours per week.  Flexi time to be decided with Co-ordinator
Fixed Term Contract 2 years
