The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for raising funds through challenge, adventure & lifestyle events. Responsibilities
- Maintain & develop the existing portfolio of in-house & third party fundraising events.
- Establish & seek new fundraising event opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships within community groups to create new third party fundraising events.
- Expand the charity's volunteer database and manage volunteer activity for events such as street collections & in-house events.
- Responsible for the marketing & PR of in-house & third party fundraising events.
- Project manage all vendors, volunteers, suppliers and staff in the execution of all events.
- Prepare and manage budgets for all designated events.
- Carry out additional duties as may be required to support the fundraising department.
Requirements
- At least 3-4 years relevant experience in Fundraising, event/ project management.
- Excellent organisational/ project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public speaking.
- Experience of PR and working with the media.
- Track record in working to targets, being driven and goal-oriented, leading and working as part of a team.
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to do all aspects of the work as required and be flexible with working hours.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Raiser's Edge experience is a plus.
- Full clean driver's licence is essential as travel is required.

- Maintain & develop the existing portfolio of challenge & activity fundraising events.
- Develop & deliver new events which will involve individuals participating in outdoor & fitness related activity.
- Expand & manage the charity's participation in third party events such as marathons, treks, swims, climbs etc.
- Recruit and provide training and other supports to all participants in challenge activities.
- Deliver a comprehensive PR programme around all challenge related fundraising activity.
- Work with staff and volunteers in the execution of events.
- Prepare and manage budgets for all designated events.
- Carry out additional duties as may be required to support the fundraising department.
Requirements
- At least 3-4 years relevant experience in Fundraising, event/ project management.
- Excellent organisational/ project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of PR and working with the media
