ISPCC Galway are urgently recruiting volunteers for its Childline service. Group meetings will be held on 21st & 25th in their offices in the Galway Retail Park on the Headford Road.
Established in May 2010, Blossom Ireland was set up by two mothers, passionate in the belief that their children with intellectual disabilities deserve the same opportunities as all children. Our aim is to fill the gap between available public services and the actual needs of both the child and their families.
This role has been created to carry out a survey of schools, community centres and youth groups to which Camara Ireland has provided computers in 2011. The project will involve visiting centres, within Dublin and nationally, to gather quantitative and qualitative feedback from teachers, students and community centre officers about their experience of using Camara Ireland and to assess the impact that the computers have had in organisations.
This is an ideal opportunity for newly qualified graduates in Social Care and other disciplines to enhance their CV’s
while at the same time enjoying a novel and challenging experience in the field of disability services.
The Intern will gain practical experience in managing all elements of volunteer management including outreach, training, screening and retention of volunteers. The intern will assist in monitoring our volunteer initiatives in both the community and in nursing homes.
The word Harambee means 'working together' in Swahili. FOL name their projects Harambee and this is what the project is about working together with the local communities around Londiani, Kenya on health, education and water programmes aiming to improve the quality of life for people in this very rural area.

Our Midsummer Moonwalk event will be held on Friday 21st June this year. This event attracts in excess of 500 members of the public. We require 20 volunteers to assist with crowd control, who have the ability to interact with the public & have good communication & interpersonal skills.
