1 Life Suicide Prevention Helpline - is a confidential professional 24 hour National Helpline Service headquarters located in Dublin. The 1Life Helpline is dedicated to providing professional counselling, support, advice and referral service for people who may be feeling suicidal, engaging in self-harm or bereaved through suicide on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis. Volunteers work alongside a team of trained counsellors and therapists all of whom receive helpline training, supervision and operate to a Code of Ethics and be guided by relevant policies and procedures as exist with the organisation

Volunteering with Ireland Reaching Out
The Ireland Reaching Out (Ireland XO) project is based on a simple idea; instead of waiting for people of Irish descent to trace their roots, we go the other way. Working through voluntary effort at a townland, village and parish level here in Ireland, we identify who left, and trace them and their descendants worldwide, proactively engaging with them and inviting them to become part of an extended “virtual” community with their place of origin.
