RehabCare is the health and social care division of the Rehab Group. Our aim is to enhance the lives of all of our clients through the provision of high quality, flexible, person centred services. Services range from resource centre activities to support provided to individuals within their own homes. Those who use our services include people with disabilities and their families, children and older people.
Staff will be required to participate as part of a team of experienced people who will share our philosophy and goals to provide supportive and caring services for service users and their families. A comprehensive training programme will be provided to all staff.

Compass Coordinator/Team Leader for ASD Services
39 hours per week – 6mth Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Leave Cover) Post – Ref No 3889
Location: RehabCare Service, Galway
Purpose of the Position:
Working in partnership with the HSE and the Asperger Action Group, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a quality client focused service to people with Asperger Syndrome. The post holder will have a role in the planning, development, delivery, and ongoing review of the service, reporting into the Community Services Manager. This will include formal and informal liaison and collaboration with key stakeholders – the clients, their family and friends, the Steering Group, and Multi Disciplinary professionals where appropriate.
Of equal importance will be the development of a network of community resources and facilities to ensure that the project participants have full access to all aspects of community life, especially housing, educational, training, employment, leisure, and social opportunities. A key objective is that personal plans and activities including meaningful occupational activity, such as education and employment are sustainable. This will require the post holder to work flexibly and may include evening hours.
Applicants should have an appropriate Third Level qualification in Health and Social Care together with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience and within Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome. Excellent communication and IT skills are necessary. A full, clean driving license is required and use of own vehicle.
A PANEL WILL BE CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS: ALL CANDIDATES WILL REMAIN ON THE PANEL FOR A SIX-MONTH PERIOD.
