We are looking to recruit two new members of staff:

Community Resource Officer (CRO) Midwest
Limerick

Community Resource Officer (CRO) South East
Kilkenny

Locations:  Epilepsy Ireland regional office Limerick city and Epilepsy Ireland regional office Kilkenny

Hours of Work: 25 hours per week over 4 or 5 days – specific hours to be agreed with Director of Services. These hours are within office hours with some flexibility for evening and weekend work required.

Reporting to: Director of Services

Terms: Salary relates to HSE funding agreements and is not negotiable

Organisation Description:

Epilepsy Ireland was established in 1966 and is the national organisation working for people with epilepsy and their families. Our vision is to achieve a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy. Our work encompasses:

  • Information, training and support services for people with epilepsy and their families, delivered from head office in Dublin and 10 regional offices
  • Education and training for health professionals
  • Raising awareness and improving public understanding of epilepsy
  • Advocating on behalf of people with epilepsy
  • Funding and supporting epilepsy research

The posts will be permanent following the successful completion of a six month probation period. There is 22 days annual leave allowance for full time posts (which is pro-rata in part-time posts). There is a 5% employer pension contribution following the completion of the probation period.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm on Wednesday 1st March. Initial shortlisting will be on the basis of the information contained in the CV and cover letter. First interviews will be held in the Kilkenny on Wednesday 8th March.

The roles will be subject to Garda vetting and reference checks.
