The new senior youth worker will take a pivotal role in the design, development and delivery of our Children and Young Peoples’ Programme – including homework club, specific and targeted afternoon, evening and weekend activities programmes.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of youth work, have a proven track record of relevant experience and possess a range of practical skills and attributes suited to a community based youth project in Bluebell.
Aisling Project is an After School initiative in Ballymun. We operate five distinct projects in different parts of Ballymun – four of these working with Primary School children aged from 8 to 13 years, and the Aisling Transition Programme working with Post-Primary students aged 12 to 14 years.
Foróige in partnership with Young Persons Probation Service is currently recruiting a Part-Time Youth Worker for the Westview Project. The project provides services that meet with the Day Care Centre Order requirements of the Children’s Act 2001.
Youth Worker with the Ballyphehane Action for Youth Project, Cork City, Co. Cork. The Ballyphehane Action for Youth Project is an established community based project which provided direct intervention and support to young people ages between 14 and 18 years within the Ballyphehane area.
Catholic Youth Care, a Diocesan Agency which provides a range of Youth Services in the greater Dublin area, has 1 full-time (ten month contract covering sabbatical) and 2 part-time specified purpose contracts (covering sick leave) for Youth Justice Workers in the Garda Youth Diversion Projects in the Finglas area.
The successful candidates will be flexible in working hours and willing to cover all aspects of our work when young people are available. This will normally involve working no more than 3 late evenings per week until 10pm, and some weekend work.
