ISPCC: Communications Coordinator


Communications Coordinator, Dublin, Full-time.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to become part of the ISPCC Communications Team as a Communications Coordinator, Dublin.

The ISPCC is the national child protection charity. Its mission is to make child protection everyone’s priority.

Based in Dublin, and reporting to the Director of Policy and Communications or designate, the Communications Coordinator works as part of a small, dedicated team to ensure effective delivery of the ISPCC’s key messages to its stakeholders, using traditional and new media effectively. This is a busy and challenging role, requiring key strengths in writing, creativity, organisation and planning, to have a significant impact on the work of the ISPCC in achieving its mission.

The role supports the ISPCC’s work to effect change in law and policy, provide high quality information to children, parents and other stakeholders, and support innovative fundraising campaigns, to sustain and develop its services to children. Central aspects of the role include the delivery of an efficient press office service and media planning to maintain the ISPCC’s media profile; contributing to campaigns planning and implementation across a varied range of projects; leading on elements of the development of innovative new content for the ISPCC’s new web platform and planning and delivering new media content to enhance the ISPCC’s digital presence.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and skilled communications professional, with the ability to work on multiple projects, achieve at least two years’ experience in public relations, media/journalism or communications.
