Knocknaheeny, Cork city.
Part Time (27.5 hrs) and Specific Purpose contract.
Salary:€17,234 - €21,276
The working hours are Monday 9am – 4pm and 9am to 2.30pm on the other days.
There is no flexibility on these working hours.
What does the Knocknaheeny Early Years service do?
The project offers support programmes to children and parents with the specific aim of improving children’s capacity to learn and develop, and emotional wellbeing in Knocknaheeny.The Early Year’s service provides a High/Scope toddler crèche and a Tus Maith pre-school service.
The afterschool service facilitates programmes to improve emotional well being and promote school achievement, such as the friendship group, issue based groups and individual support. Partnership with parents and individual support are available for families needing support.
What will the Programme Assistant do?
The post holder will provide a safe, child centred environment/experience to children in the early years centre.
- Experience of working with young children for a minimum of 2 years is essential.
- (Work experience means paid employment, not training courses/student placements)
Relevant voluntary work may be considered.
- Recognised qualification
(min FETAC Level 5 on the NFQ) that is approved under the Early Years (Preschool) Regulations.
**Please note that the 2 years of paid work experience must be gained after the applicant has qualified with the recognised qualification.
