Kilkenny Traveller Community Movement: Oral Histories Project tender

The KTCM is seeking expressions of interest from persons with experience in the collection & interpretation the of Oral Histories from the Travelling Community in Co Kilkenny and the compiling of the data gathered in forms that are accessible to the communities/individuals from which they are gathered in particular. The KTCM is seeking to develop a project where the personal experiences, eye witness accounts and the interpretations of the past through folklore, myths & song.   The KTCM is also interested in the recording of the perspectives of the communities present as a means of reference for the future and to contextualise the past.

Office of the Ombudsman for Children: Expressions of Interest Panel of Investigators

The Office of the Ombudsman for Children was established under the Ombudsman for Children Act, 2002. The Office has a dual function of promoting children’s rights and investigating complaints against public bodies, schools and hospitals. Complaints are made directly by children or by adults on their behalf. Because of this duality of function, the Ombudsman for Children’s Office is not only a redress board but a human rights institution which has an important role to play as a national monitor of children’s rights and as part of the reporting mechanism to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. The Act also provides for the child proofing of legislation and the monitoring and reviewing of legislation concerning matters that relate to the rights and welfare of children.

Ombudsman for Children’s Office Research Project: Education of Children Young People in Care

Established under the Ombudsman for Children Act, 2002, the Ombudsman for Children's Office is an independent, statutory body with an overall mate to promote the rights  welfare of children up to eighteen years of age.
