Free-style fun abstract art sessions for beginners, Batik paper designs, or Card making for Home, Community or Workplace settings

Arts and crafts I believe should be accessible to all and can be fun therapeutic and relaxing. On one hand these sessions/classes can be seen as stand alone and on the other hand they can be a pathway on to further arts and crafts at more advanced levels if people so desire.  I am a Health Sciences graduate with an interest in improving people sense of well-being and satisfaction. I am not art school trained but self taught, arts and crafts are a passion for me. Currently I am studying complementary therapies which can also be incorporated into sessions.

New Young Mums Drop-in Starts in Westside of Galway

Please spread the word:  a new drop-in service for young mums has started in the Westside of Galway.  Run by Youth Work Ireland-Galway, the drop-in will provide information on returning to work/education, social welfare payments, volunteering, CV writing, creche and childcare facilities, and more – or just a space to have a chat with other young mums.  It is recommended that mums organise childcare so that the time can be just for them, but if that's not possible they should feel free to come along with
their children.  The drop-in runs from 10am-12pm every Thursday in the Westside Library.
Contact Kerry E'lyn on 087 914 1522 or droimchaoin@youthworkgalway.ie for more information.
