The Safe and Legal (in Ireland) Abortion Rights Campaign is of unique significance, as it represents the first major initiative aimed at moving forward on abortion in this country. Anti-choice groups seeking further regressive and unworkable responses to abortion have always led previous campaigns on abortion.
The Dublin Well Woman Centres were founded in 1978 to help Irish women access family planning advice and services. We now operate three medical centres, and influence public policy and awareness by speaking out on women's health issues.
Women's Aid Federation Northern Ireland was established by Women's Aid groups to challenge attitudes and beliefs which perpetrate domestic violence and seeks through its development to create a safe and supportive society for women, children and young people affected by domestic violence.
