Acquired Brain Injury Ireland
Established in 2000, Acquired Brain Injury Ireland [formerly The Peter Bradley Foundation] is Ireland’s leading provider of flexible and tailor-made services for people with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
Our mission is to enable people with an acquired brain injury to live an independent life within the community, by providing and maintaining a supportive living environment. We understand that each person is an individual and each brain injury is particular to that individual therefore our approach is to provide a custom-made rehabilitation and care programme specific to their needs that will help to maximise their abilities. .
Aspire - The Asperger Syndrome Association of Ireland
The mission of Aspire - The Asperger Syndrome Association of Ireland - is to provide material support and assistance for those with Asperger Syndrome/high functioning autism in Ireland together with a support network for families, friends and carers of those affected, and to promote and encourage research into the condition.
Association for Higher Education Access and Disability (AHEAD)
AHEAD is an independent non-profit organisation working to promote full access to, participation in, benefit from and contribution to third level education by people with disabilities in Ireland, North and South. It is a registered charity (number CHY9999) and is funded by the Higher Education Authority, by members' subscriptions (members include all third level institutions on the island of Ireland and students with disabilities) and through European Union funding.
Ballyfermot Advocacy Service
Ballyfermot Advocacy Service is a resource for people with disabilities to support them to assert their rights and entitlements.
Funded & supported by the Citizens Information Board, it is an outreach service, serving people in Ballyfermot and surrounding areas.
Ballyfermot Advocacy Service facilitates disabled people to access information regarding their rights and entielements and supports them to express their views.
Bluestack Foundation
The Bluestack Foundation is a voluntary organisation run predominately by parents of childrens with special needs / disabilities, and professionals who not only work in the field but have a personal interest in it.
Brainwave
Brainwave was established in 1967 by a group of individuals concerned to improve the quality of life of people with epilepsy in Ireland.
Brothers of Charity Services
The Brothers of Charity Services serve people with an intellectual disability and their families throughout the world. The Brothers of Charity Services in Ireland are structured in such a way that the six Regions, Clare, Roscommon, Galway, Limerick, South East and Southern, are operationally autonomous services.
Camphill
Camphill was established to work with people who were mentally handicapped - and this is still its principal role today. From the outset, the intention was to do this work not as a 'job' in the usual sense of the word, but as a way of life.
Caring and Sharing Association (CASA)
"Casa is a voluntary organisation supporting people with disabilities throughout Ireland. Casa organises social activities, respite breaks and pilgrimages to Lourdes.
Center for Independent Living
The first Irish Centre for Independent Living (CIL) was established in 1992 by and for people with disabilities, with the main aim of ensuring that people with disabilities achieved independent living, choice and control over their lives, and full participation in society as equal citizens. It offered an advocacy and campaigning respresentation role, striving to bring about a social model of service delivery, and to ensure policy decisions would include input from those whose lives were actually affected. It also held an action-research role in monitoring developments in the world of Independent Living.
