Schools Improvement Project Officer, Uganda (funded roles)
VC is currently seeking a suitably qualified education professional for a 12 month funded assignment in Kiyinda Mityana Diocese Education Department. The aim of the role is help build the capacity of local staff in supervision, monitoring and evaluation of school activities with the ultimate aim being general improvement of the quality of education provided and learning outcomes achieved by children in its diocesan schools. The Schools Improvement Project Officer will work with an existing team to bring his/her expertise to help build capacity, improve learning outcomes and add cultural diversity to the team.
Early Childhood Development Specialist - Zambia (funded role)
VC requires an Early Childhood Development professional to work on a project set up its mission partner to cater for children with physical and intellectual disabilities in Mongu, Zambia. The engagement of the Early Childhood Development Specialist with specific qualifications in Child Development will aim to increase the capacity and effectiveness of the existing Mother and Baby Training Programme thereby reaching more parents and children and facilitating early intervention with a view to improving the life situation of children with developmental disabilities. The VC Volunteer Early Childhood Development Specialist will work alongside an existing Zambian staff member to transfer early childhood development skills, to reinforce the effectiveness of the existing Mother and Baby Training Programme. The VC Volunteer will also assist in the development of an outreach programme to educate families and reach children with disabilities earlier in their development to improve their quality of life and independence.
Refugee Project Roles (funded)
VC's partner is an international Catholic organisation with a mission to accompany, serve and advocate on behalf of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons. In West Africa, it works in two insecure countries: Chad and the Central African Republic. It set up an impressive array of education projects in Eastern Chad in 2004 and in 2008,it went to the Central African Republic to offer services with a strong community element in two war-affected provinces. The education projects in Chad reach tens of thousands of children and teachers in Sudanese refugee camps, in settlements of internally displaced Chadians, among host communities, returnees and nomads. Apart from running pre-primary, primary and secondary schools, our partner seeks to set quality standards.

- Regional Finance Officer, Cameroon:
The main responsibility of the Regional Finance Manager is to oversee the financial aspects of the regional office and country offices in collaboration with the Country Directors and under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director and will have the following key responsibilities: Strategic Planning/Budget Management/Accounting/Grant management and supervision/Capacity Building
- TEFL Teacher & Project Co-ordinator, Eastern Chad:
The TEFL Teacher & Project Co-ordinator will be the person in charge of locally teaching, co-ordinating and managing a Community Learning Service Track. The role will consist of instruction, coordination, liaison with field and country office staff.
