Free Taster Evening in IICP Education & Training, Tallaght – Tuesday 17th of January 2017

The Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP) was established in 2003 to provide a comprehensive training service for those who wish to pursue professional and academic accreditation in the mental health services. The programmes encompass a multicultural and pluralistic approach with a core philosophical framework reflecting the principles and practices of Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Person Centred Counselling and Multicultural Counselling and Therapy. The Diploma Programme was awarded Recognition Status by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2006.

Over the last number of years the Institute has actively engaged in enhancing the programme with the goal of gaining academic validation as an honours degree. In May 2010 a panel of international academic and professional experts in the field was appointed to examine the programme of study. The result of this process is that the panel recommended the programme be validated as a level 8 (Hons) Degree. Furthermore, in April 2015, QQI validated our Level 9 MA in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy.

IICP are hosting a Taster Evening on Tuesday 17th of January 2017 from 7.00pm to 9.00p.m.

This evening session will introduce participants to the subject of counselling and psychotherapy. Any good psychotherapy training programme will include Counselling Skills, Theory and Personal Development, so this taster session will include brief inputs on all three facets of training.
