The Mid Tipperary Drugs Project (MTDI) is in existence since 1999, and is one of three Community Based Drug Initiatives which are funded by the HSE, the MTDI is managed by Youth Work Ireland Tipperary. The project has close links with the HSE working very closely with the Substance Misuse Team, Outreach Worker and other community groups to deliver programmes and services to people across its catchment area around substance misuse.
This course enables you to become more informed on the issues of drug and alcohol misuse, from the types and availability of substances to the treatment options available. The course is open to members of the voluntary and statutory agencies as well as interested members of the community. No previous experience/knowledge of drug or alcohol use is required to participate.
